What is Partial knee replacement ( Microplasty )?

In a partial knee replacement, the damaged or worn parts of the knee are removed during surgery, replaced with an artificial implant made of metal and high-grade polymer.  A partial or “uni-knee” replacement includes conserving the majority of the knee joint while removing only the most severely damaged cartilage and restoring only the surfaces that have been damaged.
